Welcome To THe
Colorado Local Policy Center
Because meaningful change is often most impactful at the local level.
The State of Colorado faces large issues in every corner of the state, including climate change, affordable housing, constraints on economic mobility, and key concerns affecting the livelihood of millions of Coloradans. The Colorado Local Policy Center researches and publishes data on the actions communities are taking to address some of the state’s most pressing issues, filling the gap between local and state governance.
Introducing Colorado’s First Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Climate Action Plan Database
Many Colorado communities are at the forefront of addressing climate change, working to curb greenhouse gas emissions and create a more sustainable future. However, there is no comprehensive source to track the progress communities are making. The Colorado Local Policy Center tracks which communities (towns, cities, and counties) have adopted Climate Action Plans and reports their communities’ greenhouse gas emissions to provide a statewide overview of community-led climate progress.
